KPR custodians work diligently over the summer to ensure our schools can, once again, open their doors to students, staff and families in the fall. Canada, along with the provincial government of Ontario has declared Monday a Day of Mourning for Queen Elizabeth II. Monday is not a provincial holiday - our schools will be open and operating normally on Monday.
Queen Elizabeth II served as Queen of Canada and Canada's Head of State. Board-wide, as a measure of our observance of the Queen’s passing, we have lowered the flags at all schools and Education Centres, in accordance with board protocol.

As part of the Ministry of Education’s learning recovery plan for language and math, tutoring opportunities for Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board (KPRDSB) students, Kindergarten to Grade 12, will once again be available this fall.
